About the Writers

Kristi is very honored to be performing in the SGA Songwriter's Show with such great writers as Casey Kelly, Wood Newton, and Todd Cerney. Following is a listing of some of the hits these writers have written.

Casey Kelly

Casey has three #1 singles including "Soon" (Tanya Tucker), "Anyone Who Isn't Me Tonight" (Kenny Rogers & Dottie West), and "Somewhere Down the Line" (T G Sheppard). He's also had singles for George Strait and Lorrie Morgan.

Wood Newton

Wood's cuts include "20 Years Ago" (Kenny Rogers), "Bobbie Sue" (Oak Ridge Boys), "What I Didn't Do" (Steve Warner), "Pink Flamingos" (Tracy Byrd), and "Riding with Private Malone" (David Ball).

Todd Cerney

Todd has had songs recorded by Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bad English, Eddie Money, Cheap Trick, Restless Heart, John Anderson, The Kendalls, Loverboy (with five songs on their album "Wildside" including the top 40 single "Notorious"), The Four Tops duet with Aretha Franklin ("If Ever a Love There Was"), and was a Grammy nominee in the Best Country Song category for "I'll Still Be Loving You" recorded by Restless Heart.
